I feel like I have nothing to say, and then on the other hand enough time passes and there's too much that happened to be entertaining reading, it'd just be a list of things that we worked on. So I don't know, its no masterpiece, that's for sure. To be sure my top priority is caring for the animals and their pastures...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10987965708875164690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7927380075822303425.post-30535811080238632562010-11-21T21:58:32.440-08:002010-11-21T21:58:32.440-08:00Just spent an hour looking at all your posts and p...Just spent an hour looking at all your posts and photos and your farm looks amazing. I'm going to talk some friends into going in with me on buying some of your animals.

Thanks for the blog, I know that you think it's not always the best use of time, but it's really nice to get to see the inside scoop on your farm. (I raised chickens when I was in high school so it's fun to see all the photos and I understand your woes about hawks!)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16198617440290643245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7927380075822303425.post-87842833582805614012010-05-15T19:28:42.084-07:002010-05-15T19:28:42.084-07:00thanks for the suggestion Kate. If you click the March archive, I have one (not hard boiled) that I took with my iphone so its not the best quality photo, but it clearly aint no factory egg, that's for sure,

next time we hard boil some eggs I'll try to remember to get a picture. I'm afraid when you come my layer flocks won't be here, we evacuated the chickens from this property until the weasel is gone. another feature of a truly mobile coop.feltoniushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11139546681554633606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7927380075822303425.post-53635181720631950272010-05-11T12:37:42.647-07:002010-05-11T12:37:42.647-07:00Showing a photo of a beautiful orange yolk in hard...Showing a photo of a beautiful orange yolk in hard boiled form (my personal favorite) would be a convincing addition to this post :) Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to visiting your farm soon.Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15547494645578097327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7927380075822303425.post-50554334314203257382010-05-05T07:44:47.047-07:002010-05-05T07:44:47.047-07:00Did some Google searching, its definitely a weasel...Did some Google searching, its definitely a weasel. Mongoose natural habitat is Africa, and the black footed ferret is in the Great Plains region, they eat prarie dogs. What we would appear to have here is a long or short-tailed weasel.feltoniushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11139546681554633606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7927380075822303425.post-33321789333516883362010-05-04T21:01:43.724-07:002010-05-04T21:01:43.724-07:00Hi Marc,

Looking forward to more conversation next chicken processing day, including...how do you talk to your kids about it...? (we both have fairly little ones...)
Your friendly recovering vegetarian,
DebUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03044187234669612530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7927380075822303425.post-39976190217705985532010-04-22T14:37:52.042-07:002010-04-22T14:37:52.042-07:00Is it a true weasel? I'm curious about which of these similar animals are in our area... However, you can save by purchasing a vehicle that allows you to make fuel for it. When Rudolph Diesel invented the Diesel engine it was for farmers so they could grow their own peanut oil fuel. This engine was invented before fossil fuels became available.
Here is a car that is timeless, extremely safe and people don't really care how old it is.
They don't need tune ups or spark plugs, only oil and filter changes.
See below:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1984-MERCEDES-300-TD-DIESEL-WAGON-NO-RUST-CAR-300TD-CA_W0QQitemZ200448767736QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item2eabad76f8

http://www.mercedessource.com/node/3165

All the best,
Your cousin Mike from the East Coast.sedecremhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08071463596938948749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7927380075822303425.post-24959973619793494352009-11-23T17:48:10.100-08:002009-11-23T17:48:10.100-08:00This is fascinating.
